In a sense, the Ten-Man Art Exhibition is a unique exhibition. It is so because the convention for artists is to criticise one another's paintings rather than to co-operate and work towards a common goal, which is the achievement of higher artistic standards. But these ten men are not only outstanding in the sense that they have joined together to present an exhibition, but as ambassadors of art they had exhibited their paintings in other countries. In 1963 these ten artists toured Thailand and Cambodia. Apparently, the tour was such a success that they are now planning to travel to Nepal, Bhutan and Sikkim next year. By travelling to foreign countries to exhibit their paintings these men may be said to be ambassadors of art.
