Inscription:
Huang Tingjian wrote calligraphy like he was painting bamboos,
Whereas Su Shi painted bamboos like he was writing calligraphy.
The works of both men are beyond ordinary creations of the brush;
In their sparseness, they have each attained heights of sublimity in spirit.

For Chi Wei to comment on. Written by Jiazhen with the left hand in the bingchen year (1976).

The mountain peak flew here from where it came from.
I toured in Hangzhou thrice, and on all three occasions visited the scenic locations at Mount Lingyin.

Tingfanlou Pavilion along Jialing River is a famous tourist destination in Chongqing.The painting group established by Yeh Chi Wei likes to visit scenic spots. Halfway through their trip, they passed through Hong Kong and came to my studio. We had a good chat and I decided to create this landscape painting for
his pleasure.

Painted by Ren Zhenhan in the summer of the jiayin year (1974).

The Hongqiao Bridge (ofYangzhou) rises above the river, Its horizontal form adorned with red, zigzag railings.
At noon a beautifully decorated boat sails beneath the bridge,
Allowing us only a fleeting glimpse of its elegantly dressed passengers.

Written by Chen Jen Hao upon the request of Mr Yeh Chi Wei.
